-If you're busy with something & prayer time has set in,remember that the Aakhirah comes first.

-If you're busy with something & prayer time has set in,remember that the Aakhirah comes first.Watch out for satanic whispers..."When the Adhaan is given,Shaitaan goes off passing wind so that he does not hear the Adhaan & when the call is finished he returns. Then when the Iqaamah is given,he goes off until it is finished, then returns in order to interfere with the person & his concentration. He say: 'remember such & such' referring to things the man was not thinking of,to the point that the man does not know how much he has prayed." (Bukhaari)

There is no word as beautiful as Allah.

"There is no word as beautiful as Allah. No example as perfect as Rasulallah (Sallahu aleyhi wa salam), No lesson as beautiful as Islam. No song as melodious as Adhan. No charity as meaningful as Zakat. No encyclopedia as comprehensive as the Quran. No prayer as soothing as Salah. No diet as perfect as fasting. No journey as rewarding as Hajj" No place than Jaanaat, Suggest your friends so they may benefit.

We live in a society that is based on judging others

We live in a society that is based on judging others. Often times, as Muslims, we tend to do the same thing in that we judge other people. We think we know others’ intentions or we know where their heart stands. We may look for a reason
to pass judgment on a specific brother or sister or we may look for an excuse to consider them ‘off the manhaj’ as it is so often known as.

However, in reality, ask yourself, “Who are we to judge others?” As Muslims, we want and wish for the best for our brothers and sisters in faith. They are a part of our family and thus we want nothing but the best for them. What happened to making excuses and excuses for our brothers and sisters? Who are we judge others? No doubt, as Muslims, it is our duty to advise others and it is our duty to command the good and forbid the evil. What would happen if we didn’t pass judgment on them, rather we just advised them instead? Would something befall upon us? Allah is the Judge and He will judge the people for indeed we do not know what is in the hearts of others, rather Allah knows what is in the breasts of mankind.

Imam Malik was reported as stating, “If I was given 99 reasons to declare a person deviant and one upholding their orthodoxy, I’d go with the latter!” Imam al-Ghazali was reported as stating, “The hypocrite looks for faults, the believer looks for excuses.” Al-Hafidh al-Dhahabi wrote, “I heard our Sheikh, Ibn Taymiyyah, d. 728 a.h, say towards the end of his life, ‘I will never declare anyone from the people of the Qiblah (Muslim direction of prayer) as an infidel.’”

Ask yourself, do you REALLY want the best for your brother or sister if you’re looking for an excuse to throw them outside the fold of Ahlus-Sunnah or worse yet, even Islam? Oh Muslim, make excuses for one another. Make dua for one another. Love one another. We are told that we would not attain faith until we love one another. We were also told that one is not a believer until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself. Therefore, O Muslim, attain faith, become a believer (Mumin)! May Allah (SWT) allow us all to be believers. Ameen.

“Allah willed to test three Israelis who were a leper, a blind and a bald headed man

“Allah willed to test three Israelis who were a leper, a blind and a bald headed man. So, he sent them an angel who came to the leper and said, ‘What thing do you like most?’ He replied, ‘Good color and good skin, for the people have a str
ong aversion to me.’ The angel touched him and his illness was cured, and he was given a good color and beautiful skin. The angel asked him, ‘What kind of property do you like best?’ He replied, ‘Camels’ so, he was given a pregnant she-camel, and the angel said to him, ‘May Allah bless you in it.’

The angel then went to the bald-headed man and said, ‘What thing do you like the most?’ He said, I like good hair and wish to be cured of this disease, for the people feel repulsion for me.’ The angel touched him and his illness was cured, and he was given good hair. The angel asked him, ‘What kind of property do you like the best?’ He replied, ‘Cows or Camels’. The angel gave him a pregnant cow and said, ‘May Allah bless you in it’.

The angel went to the blind man and asked, ‘What thing do you like best?’ He said, I like that Allah restore my eyesight to me so that I may see the people.’ The angel touched his eyes and Allah gave him his eyesight. The angel asked him, ‘What kind of property do you like best?’ He replied, ‘Sheep’. So he gave him a pregnant sheep.

Afterwards, all the three pregnant animals gave birth to young ones, and multiplied and brought forth so much that one of the three men had a herd of camels filling a valley, and one had a herd of cows filling a valley, and one had a flock of sheep filling a valley.

Then the angel, disguised in the shape of appearance of a leper, went to the leper and said, ‘I am a poor man, who has lost all means of livelihood while on a journey. So none will satisfy my need except Allah and then you. In the Name of Allah Who has given you everything such nice color and beautiful skin, and so much property, I ask you to give me a camel so that I may reach my destination.’ The man replied, ‘I have many obligations (so I cannot give you),’ The angel said, I think I know you. Were you not a leper to whom the people had a strong aversion? Weren’t you a poor man, and then Allah gave you (all this property).’ He replied, ‘(This is all wrong) I got this property through inheritance from my forefathers.’ The angel said, ‘If you are telling a lie, then let Allah make you as you were before.’

Then the angel, disguised in the shape and appearance of a bald man, went to the bald man and said to him the same as he told the first one did, and he too answered the same as the first one did. The angel said, ‘If you are telling a lie, then let Allah make you as you were before.’

The angel, disguised in the shape of a blind man, went to the blind man and said, ‘I am a poor man and a traveler, whose means of livelihood have been exhausted while on a journey. I have nobody to help me except Allah, and after Him, you yourself. I ask you in the Name of Him Who has given you back your eyesight to give me a sheep, so that with its help, I may complete my journey.’ The man said, ‘No doubt, I was blind and Allah gave me back my eyesight. (I was poor and Allah made me rich); so take anything you wish from my property. By Allah, I will not stop you for taking anything (you need) of my property which you may take for Allah’s sake.’ The angel replied, ‘Keep your property with you. You (i.e. three men) have been tested and Allah is pleased with you and is angry with your two companions.”

Have you fulfilled the rights of your knowledge and actions as they used to?

From the morals and manners of the Salaf was that they would have terrible fear that mistakes would enter into their knowledge, practice and in their directing the nation (Ummah) to what is good in the world and the Here after.
Do not think that any of them loved to be elevated in rank and any worldly matter. They hated giving religious verdicts (fataawah) because the one who gives the verdict (fatwah) has entered a station between Allaah and His worshipers.

“Do not say about that which your tongues put forth falsely “This is lawful (halaal) and this is forbidden (haraam”, so as to invent lies against Allaah.) Those who invent lies about Allaah will never prosper” (Surah Nahl 16:116)

‘Abdul-Rahmaan ibn Abi ailah (rahimahullah) said, “I have met 120 companions of the Messenger of Allah . None of them spoke without wishing his brother’s speech be sufficient, and none of them gave a fatwah without wishing his brother would suffice him in it”.
Fudayl ibn ‘Iyaad (rahimahullaah) said, “To send dinars (money) on a people is more beloved to me than to spend on them my speech, and therefore easier on my soul”.
Some people requested that Sufyaan ibn ‘Uyainah (rahimahullaah) sat with them to give a lecture, but he refused them by saying, “I am not of the correct stature to relate to you knowledge nor you to listen. The likeness of you and I is like the saying: Expose all your faults and them come to a mutual concealment!”
Abu Muslim al-Khawlaani (rahimahullaaah) said, “Many people live amongst the people just with their knowledge, destroying their souls” i.e., with vanity and egoism.”
Abu Haazim (rahimahullaah) used to say, “The scholars of our time have been content with speech and with no practice! The Salaf use to practice but not speak. After them the people practiced and spoke being followed by a people who spoke but did not practice. There will come a time when people will not speak nor practice”
‘Abdul-Raheem as-Sulami (rahimahullaah) said, “We met people who learned the Qur’an ten verses (ayaats) being followed by another ten. They would not move to another ten without practicing the first ten”.
‘Abdullah ibn al-Mubaarak (rahimahullaah) reported on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ziyaad that he said, “I saw Abu Umamah speaking to a person who had been weeping and crying to Allaah in prostration in the mosque saying: “You would have been as yourself had this been your house!”
It was said to Ash-sha’bi (rahimahullaah) “Deliver your verdict to us O Scholar (‘aalim)! He replied to them, “do not say scholar to the likes of me, but the ‘aalim is the one who humbles his joints from the submissive fear (khushoo’) of Allaah”.
Sufyaan ath-Thawri (rahimahullaah) said, “Whoever’s knowledge makes him weep, then he is a scholar (‘aalim). Allaah the Most High said, “Verily those who were given knowledge before it, when it is recited to them they fall down on their faces in humble prostration” (Sura Bani Israel 17:107)
He also said, “When the verses (aayaat) of Ar Rahmaan (The Most Merciful) was recited to them they fall in prostration weeping” (Sura Maryam 19:58)

So reflect in your soul dear Muslimoon.

Have you fulfilled the rights of your knowledge and actions as they used to?

AL-‘AFUW- THE PARDONER

AL-‘AFUW
THE PARDONER

Whether you reveal a good act or keep it hidden, or pardon an evil act, Allah is Ever-Pardoning, All-Powerful. (Surat an-Nisa’, 4:149)

People are fallible beings who may at any time think erroneously, make a wrong de
cision, or display a flawed attitude. But Allah, Who created humanity and is fully aware of these mistakes, forgives them. If He were not so forgiving, no soul would ever attain Paradise. Indeed, Allah calls attention to this fact, as follows:

If Allah were to punish people for their wrong actions, not a single creature would be left upon Earth, but He defers them until a predetermined time. When their specified time arrives, they cannot delay it for a single hour or bring it forward. (Surat an-Nahl, 16:61)

Yet we need to remember that Allah only forgives His sincere servants who turn to Him inA repentance. Thus, those desiring His forgiveness must be sincere and resolute in their repentance. Allah makes it clear that He will not forgive those who repent but then return to their former ways without feeling any true regret. In one verse, Allah states the following:

Allah only accepts the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and then quickly repent after doing it. Allah turns toward such people. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. (Surat an-Nisa’, 4:17)

10 Things We Waste:

10 Things We Waste:

1. Our Knowledge: Wasted by not taking action with it

2. Our Actions: Wasted by committing them without sincerity.

3. Our Wealth: Wasted by using on things that will not bring us ajr (reward from Allah). We waste our money, our status, our authority, on things which have no benefit in this life or in akhirah (hereafter).

4. Our Hearts: Wasted because they are empty from the love of Allah, ...and the feeling of longing to go to Him, and a feeling of peace and contentment. In it’s place, our hearts are filled with something or someone else.

5. Our Bodies: Wasted because we don’t use them in ibadah (worship) and service of Allah.

6 .Our Love: Our emotional love is misdirected, not towards Allah, but towards something/someone else.

7. Our Time: Wasted, not used properly, to compensate for that which has passed, by doing what is righteous to make up for past deeds.

8 .Our Intellect: Wasted on things that are not beneficial, that are detrimental to society and the individual, not in contemplation or reflection.

9.Our Service: Wasted in service of someone who will not bring us closer to Allah, or benefit in dunya

10. Our Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah) : Wasted, because it does not effect us or our hearts.

Ten easy ways to enter Paradise

1. LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER
2. HELP YOUR MOTHER
3. SMILE AT YOUR MOTHER
4. BE THANKFUL TO YOUR MOTHER FOR WHATEVER SHE DOES FOR YOU
5. SPEND TIME WITH YOUR MOTHER
6. ALWAYS ASK YOUR MOTHER IF YOU CAN HELP HER WITH ANYTHING
7. BUY YOUR MOTHER GIFTS
8. BE GOOD TO YOUR MOTHER’S FAMILY AND FRIENDS
9. STUDY HARD AND LEAD A GOOD LIFE SO THAT YOUR MOTHER IS HAPPY
10. ALWAYS PRAY FOR YOUR MOTHER, ESPECIALLY AFTER EVERY SALAH.
WARNING: THOSE WHO ARE DISOBEDIENT TO THEIR MOTHER WILL BURN IN THE FIRE OF HELL!

Trust Him....He CAN & will take care of you....

Trust Him....He CAN & will take care of you....
❝....And whosoever fears Allâh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allâh, then He will suffice him....❞

SUBHAN ALLAAH

SUBHAN ALLAAH !!!!
"مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ * بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لّا يَبْغِيَانِ * فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ "

"He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; Between them is a barrier [so] neither of
them transgresses. So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?" [Surah Ar Rahman, 55:1-21]

Do you know that the only sentence that you can say without moving your lips is : LA ILAHA ILLA ALLAH ?!

Do you know that the only sentence that you can say without moving your lips is :

LA ILAHA ILLA ALLAH ?!

SubhanAllah and the wisdom behind that, is that when a person is dying he can possibly lose the ability to move his lips , so

Allah made it easy for him to say the Shahada before his death!

SubhanAllahu wa bi hamdihi! Amazing right? :)

❝O Allah keep us firm with the word that stands firm in this world and in the Hereafter and make us of the saved ones! ❞

❝ O Allah, make the best of my days the Day when I meet You, the best of my life the last of it and the best of my deeds the final ones.❞

Ameeen ya Rabb!

A Bag of Nails - A Story

A Bag of Nails - A Story

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper.
His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.

The first day the boy had dri
ven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down.
He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all.

He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.

The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.

The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same again!"

Remember when you say things in anger,
they leave a permanent scar!

RasoolAllah (sallAllahu ályhi wasallam) said,

"Anger is from the devil, the devil is created of fire, and fire is extinguished only by water; so if anyone of you gets angry, let him perform ablution."
(Ahmad)

Today many psychologists advise patients suffering from anxiety or going through fits of rage to use hydrotherapy (water therapy). The amazing calming effects of water has been scientifically proven and is used all over the world.

Praise be to the One who made us Muslims, and the ummah of Muhammad (sallAllahu ályhi wasallam). May he protect us from anger and bad temper problems.

Be like a BEE! :) Busy & productive for your Lord!

Do you ever wonder at Allaah’s flawless designs?
Do you reflect in Allaah’s numerous signs?
Take the example of a bumble bee-
When Allaah commands, He just says
“Be!”
To all the colonies and Queen bees of the hive
Working 24/7 building nests they strive!
From caring the young larvae to awesome calculation,
Bees are inspired with a sophisticated communication!
And the beeswax for honeycomb construction,
Then food collection to honey production!
All the way inside the beehive, they strive
In a magnificent order and organization!

Flower to flower, the bees dance and fly!
Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?!

A medicine, a drink and a sweet healing property
Used for injured wounds and can save many in poverty!
Producing honey for all humanity,
So Who gave the bees such amazing ability?
From clearing the stomach to improving our vision,
Honey production is a bee’s daily mission.
Good for our liver and good for our heart
Can’t deny the Almighty’s Great work of art!
From beginning to the end of their lives,
Bees strive to secure, protect and clean their hives!

Flower to flower, the bees dance and fly!
Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?!

Baffling all scientists who yet cannot explain
But Allaah makes his verses simple and plain-
Inspiring the bees to acquire such knowledge
Why does mankind still fail to acknowledge?
Just another one of Allaah’s flawless designs!
Thy Lord’s wisdom in one of many Greatest Signs!

Flower to flower, the bees dance and fly!

Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?!

~~By SparkaPoet (Shohima Abdul Rahman) 08/09/11~~

Note: Please read bottom to understand the poem in detail…
Inspired to write by the following Quranic verses:
1) Your Lord revealed to the Bees “Build dwellings in the mountains and the trees, and also in the structures which men erect. Then eat from every kind fruit and travel the paths of your Lord, which have been made easy for you to follow.” From inside them comes a drink of varying colours, containing healing for humanity. There is certainly a sign in that people who reflect. (Surah An-Nahl: 68-69)

Comments: Von-Frisch received the Nobel Prize in 1973 for his research on the behaviour and communication of the bees. The Bee, after discovering any new garden and behavior or flower, goes back and tells its fellows bees the exact direction and map to get there which is known as the ‘bee dance’. The meanings of this insect’s movements that are intended to transmit information between worker bees have been discovered scientifically using photography and other methods. The Quran mentions in the above verse how the bee finds with skill the spacious paths of its Lord. (The Quran and Modern Science, by Dr Zakir Naik)
2) “There comes forth from their (bee’s) bellies, a drink of varying colour wherein is healing for men.” (Surah An-Nahl 16:69)

Comments: The bee assimilates juices of various kinds of flowers and fruits and forms within its body the honey, which it stores in its cells of wax. We are now aware that honey has a healing property and a mild antiseptic property. The Russians used honey to cover their wounds in World War II, The wound would retain moisture and would leave very little scar tissue. Due to their density of honey, no fungus or bacteria would grow in the wound. A person suffering from an allergy of a particular plant may be given honey from that plant so that the person develops resistance to that allergy. Honey is rich in fructose and vitamin K. Thus the knowledge contained in the Quran regarding honey from the bees belly and properties was far ahead of the time it was revealed. (The Quran & Modern Science, by Dr Zakir Naik)

3) In the creation of the heavens and the Earth, and the alternation of night and day, there are signs for people with intelligence: those who remember God, standing, sitting and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the Earth: "Our Lord, you have not created this for nothing. Glory be to You! So safeguard us from the punishment of the Fire." (Surah Al- 'Imran: 190-191).

4) His Command When He desires a thing is just to say to it, “Be!” and it is. (Surah Ya-Seen, 36: 82)

5) Then Which of the Favors of Your Lord Will You (Both Mankind & Jinns) Deny? (Surah Ar-Rahman, 55:13).

Do you know how hard it was for the prophet (sallAllahu 'alyhi wasallam) to leave His beloved homeland "Makkah" and move to "Madina"?

Do you know how hard it was for the prophet (sallAllahu 'alyhi wasallam) to leave His beloved homeland "Makkah" and move to "Madina"?

It is Allah Who took care of him and helped him, and would not leave him to any of His creation. He is t

he One Who was His Helper, Supporter and Protector, the One Who was to help him achieve victory and make His religion prevail over those who resist him and oppose him and fight him in the east and in the west. May Allah send peace and blessings upon him until the Day of Judgement.

Imam Ahmad recorded that Ibn `Abbas said: The Prophet was in Makkah, then he was commanded to emigrate, and Allah revealed the words:
﴿وَقُل رَّبِّ أَدْخِلْنِى مُدْخَلَ صِدْقٍ وَأَخْرِجْنِى مُخْرَجَ صِدْقٍ وَاجْعَل لِّى مِن لَّدُنْكَ سُلْطَـناً نَّصِيرًا ﴾
(And say: "My Lord! Let my entry be good, and (likewise) my exit be good. And grant me from You a helping authority.'')

One of our sisters in Islam said that when she moved to a new strange country far from her dear family, she kept remembering & reciting this beautiful du'aa taught to the Prophet (sallAllahu 'alyhi wasallam) by Allah and soon she found comfort in her new home, new surrounding and felt settled!

“SAY LAA ILAAHA IL-ALLAAH." SO HE REPLIED, "AAAH! AAAH! I CANNOT SAY IT!"

“SAY LAA ILAAHA IL-ALLAAH." SO HE REPLIED, "AAAH! AAAH! I CANNOT SAY IT!"

Ibn al-Qayyim said, “So it may become impossible for him to pronounce the shahaadah, as many people have witnessed happen to those on the deathbed, such that it was
said to some of them:
“Say Laa ilaaha illallaah.” So he replied, “Aaah! Aaah! I cannot say it!”

And it was said to another, “Say Laa ilaaha illallaah.” So he replied, “King! Rook! Checkmate!” and then he passed away.

And it was said to another, “Say Laa ilaaha illallaah.” So he started singing irrationally, saying, ‘Taatinaa tinintaa, [no meaning, just irrational singing]’ and then passed away.

And the same was said to another, so he replied, “And how will what you are saying help me when I left no sin except that I committed it?” and then he passed away without saying it.

And the same was said to another, so he replied, “And how will that benefit me? And I don’t know if I have ever prayed a single time to Allaah?” and then he passed away without saying it.

And the same was said to another, so he replied [talking about himself], “He is a disbeliever in what you say,” and then he passed away.

And the same was said to another, so he replied, “Every time I want to say it my tongue withholds.”

And someone who was present at the death of someone who would beg told me that [they told him to say the shahaadah] so he started saying, “For Allaah’s Sake. A penny for Allaah’s Sake,” until he passed away.

And a trader told me that he was present when one of his relatives was on his deathbed, so they told him to say Laa ilaaha illallaah and he was saying, “This piece is cheap. This is a good buy. This is such and such,” until he passed away.

So if the devil has gained mastery over the servant in the state when his mind is present and his strength [is also present] and he has complete cognizance, and has employed him in committing whichever acts of disobedience to Allaah he wants him to do, and has made him unmindful of the remembrance of Allaah the Most High, and has paralyzed his tongue from remembering Him and his limbs from obeying Him–then what does one think will be the case when his strength breaks down and his heart and soul become preoccupied with the death pangs that he is in?

And [all the while] Shaitaan will have gathered all of his strength and determination and assembled everything that he is capable of to avail his opportunity concerning him–for that is the last action.

So the strongest his Shaitaan will be against him is at that time, and the weakest he [i.e., the person] will be is at that time.

So who do you think will be safe from that? So it is there that, “Allaah keeps firm those who believe, with the firm word [i.e., 'the firm word' is Laa ilaaha illallaah], in the worldly life and in the Hereafter. And Allaah sends astray the wrongdoers. And Allaah does what He wills.” Ibraaheem 14:27

So how can someone whose heart Allaah has made heedless from His remembrance and who has followed his desires and whose affair is ever [in] neglect be granted the success to have a good ending?

Thus far away–the one whose heart is distant from Allaah the Most High, heedless of Him, worshipping his own desires, a slave to his lusts, his tongue dry from ever remembering Allaah [i.e., not moist with His remembrance], his limbs incapacitated from obeying Him actively working to disobey Him–far away [is such a person] from being granted the success to have a good ending.”

May Allah keep us firm on the WORD that's firm all through our life and make us die in a state when He's pleased with us while saying La ilaha illa Allah! Ameen ya Rabb!

A Hadeeth is composed of two parts

A Hadeeth is composed of two parts
1) Matn (Text)
2) Isnaad (Chain of reporters)

A matn may seem to be logical and reasonable but it needs an authentic isnaad with reliable reporters to be acceptable.
Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak, one of the te

achers of Imam al-Bukhari said

"The isnaad is part of religion, had it not been for the isnaad, whoever wished to would have said whatever he liked."

(Science of Hadith by Dr. Suhaib Hasan Page: 11)

Therefore whenever you receive a Hadith please dont forward it unless you have varified that it is a Sahih (Authentic) Hadith
Even if the text of the Hadith seems to be nice but still varification is important because Allah says:

"...If any wicked person comes to you with a news, verify it..."
(Surah Al-Hujraat, Ayah: 6)

TO ALL GIRLS:

TO ALL GIRLS:

You DON'T need a boy who's
married to the streets,
But a man who's engaged to
his DEEN and married to his SALAH.

You DON'T need a boy who loves you for your make-up and clothes,
But a man who loves you for the sake of ALLAH SWT and your HIJAB.

You DON'T need a boy who wants a wife because he is tired of messing around with girls,
But a man who wants to complete half of his DEEN.

Don’t be too hurry in love, find someone who can guide you not only in Dunya, but in akhirah.

Who can pick you up when you fall, who can remind you when you forget, love you with all his might, someone that will holds
your hands through thick and thin & leads you to the Jannah.

May Allah Swt grant us pious spouse. Ameen

This life and dunya is like a honey pot

This life and dunya is like a honey pot, and the flies/bees that are attracted to it are us, mankind. Most of the flies dive straight into the honey, mesmerized by its sweetness and overcome by its smell, but they soon realize that they have
e gone in too deep as they begin to drown and suffocate in the honey.
But there are some flies who stay on the rim of the honey pot, enjoying its sweetness from a distance, just a little at a time, because they know that there is a better place waiting for them, with more than just honey.

So we should take what we can with caution from our time in the dunya, enjoying some of the good and refraining from the bad. There’s nothing wrong with enjoying a cricket match, or other sporting activities, if it’s only for one day and obligatory acts of worship are not left out because of the match. After all, the Prophet (salallahu alayhi wasallam) allowed A’isha (radiallahu anha) to watch men play with spears and he stood there for as long as she was watching it. So really, nothing wrong with a few fun and games….but just as long as we’re not forgetting our true purpose in life.
(Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.

Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) says:

"Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion. "

♥ Praise be to Allaah Who has created Time and has made some times better than others, some months and days and nights better than others, when rewards are multiplied many times, as a mercy towards His slaves. This encourages them to do mor
e righteous deeds and makes them more eager to worship Him, so that the Muslim renews his efforts to gain a greater share of reward, prepare himself for death and supply himself in readiness for the Day of Judgement
Among the special seasons of worship are the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, which Allaah has preferred over all the other days of the year. ♥

Some suggestions to make the Best of the Ten Days:

•►Increase your level of worship during the day and during the night.
•►Try to achieve one khatma of the Qur’an (reading it from cover to cover).
•►Keep your tongue moist with dhikr and praise of Allah wherever you are.
•►Maintain a state of ṭahārah and wuḍū’ at all times.
•►Make most of your dhikr Takbīr (like the one you recite on ‘Id day).
•►Fast a few days while the days are short and cold, particularly the 9th, the day of ‘Arafah.
•►If you haven’t paid for the qurban (sacrificial animal) yet, make sure to do so. Perhaps you should donate one to those who are most in need of it in areas such as Gaza, Syria, Kashmir, Afghanistan, Somalia, and all the Muslim countries.
•►Wake up before Fajr time and pray Qiyam-ul-Layl.
Pray your Fardh salat on time.
•►Make sure you don’t miss any of the Nafl and Sunnah prayers.
•►Give charity and help those who are less fortunate prepare for the Eid day.
•►Share the spirit of the season and be cheerful with all people.

There is so much you can do for the ten days of Dhu’l-Ḥijjah, but you are the one who knows your schedule better than any one else. Make sure to make this season a priority and may Allah grant you all Jannatul Firdous.

Remember, there are two chances in life: the one you already missed, and the one you don’t want to miss. So don’t miss out on the ten days of Dhu’l-Ḥijjah.

As soon as the Adhan goes, try to leave every job you're carrying out & hasten for Salaah.

As soon as the Adhan goes, try to leave every job you're carrying out & hasten for Salaah. Adhan is a call from Allaah, just five times a day. So, all work should stop at pray o'clock!!! {♥}
*In sha Allah.

Beauty of Repentance

Beauty of Repentance: The one who repents from sin is like the one who did not do the sin.If the sin is erased, then the punishment&consequences are also erased. So if a person did a righteous deed then he did a bad deed that cancelled it out, then he repented - the reward that was lost will be restored to him, Insha Allah!

Never forget that ALLAH is your Friend

Never forget that ALLAH is your Friend - The BEST of all friends! He wants to hear what's been happening in your life. Good or bad, whether it's been full of sorrow or anger, or even when you're questioning why terrible things have to happen. Go ahead, Go down in Sujood...TALK to HIM this very moment!

The signs of Allaah's love for a person are as follows

The signs of Allaah's love for a person are as follows:-
1. When Allah loves someone he puts them under trials ( the more righteous they are, the harder the trials) in order to purify them.
2. When Allaah loves someone, he gives them the "understanding" of the religion of islaam.
3. Whomever Allaah loves, he deviates them and their heart from disobedience and sins.

Explanation of the Du'aa to alleviate Grief, Distress and Anxiety

Explanation of the Du'aa to alleviate Grief, Distress and Anxiety

The Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم he said as reported by the noble companion Abdullah ibn Mas’ood رضي اللّه عنه and reported by Imaam Ahmad in his Musnad. (Arabic) اللَّهُ
ـمَّ إِنِّـي عَبْـدُكَ، إبْـنُ أَمَتِـكَ، the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم said

No slave is afflicted with anxiety and grief and then says, O Allaah I am your slave son of your male slave, son of your female slave, نَاصِـيَتي بِيـدِكَ my forehead is in your Hand, مَاضٍ فِيَّ حُكْمُـكَ،and Your judgment upon me is assured, عَـدْلٌ فِـيَّ قَضَـاءُكَ، and whatever You have decreed for me is just, أسْـأَلُكَ بِكُـلِّ اسْمٍ هُـوَ لَك I ask You by every name belonging to You سَـمَّيْتَ بِـهِ نَفْسَـكَwhich You have named Yourself,فِـي كِتَـابِكَ ، أَوْ أَنْزَلْتَهُ or You have revealed in Your Book, أَوْ عَلَّمْتَـهُ أَحَـدًا مِـنْ خَلْقِـكَ or You taught one of Your creation, أَوِ اسْـتَأْثَـرْتَ بِهِ فِـي عِلْـمِ الْغَيْـبِ عِنْـدَكَ or You have preserved knowledge of that Name with You in the Unseen, I ask You that You make the Qur’aan the spring of my heart,أَنْ تَجْعَـلَ القُـرْآنَ رَبِيَـعَ قَلْبِي ، وَنُورَ صَدْرِي ، and the light of my chest, وَجَـلاَءَ حُـزْنِي وَذَهَـابَ هَمِّـي ، a banisher for my grief and a reliever for my anxiety.”

The Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم said, “إِلاَّ أَذْهَبَ اللّهُ حُزْنَهُ وَهَمَّهُ وَأَبْدَلَ مَكَانَهُ فَرَحَا whoever says this Allaah سبحان وتعلى will replace his distress and grief with joy.

The Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم was asked “O Messenger of Allaah should we not learn this? He صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم said, “Certainly! It is proper and befitting for the one who hears of this supplication that they learn it.”

Brothers and sisters this hadith reported by Imaam Ahmad contains amazing benefits.

Benefits that are important to each and every one of us because there is not one of us except he will be met with trials and tribulations and this is a test from Allaah سبحان وتعلى, to distinguish between those who are truthful and those who are faking. Allaah عزّ وجل He said in the Noble Qur’aan in Surathul Baqarah verse 155,

Certainly we shall test you with fear, hunger, loss of wealth, life and fruits but give glad tidings to the patient”

Imaam Sa’adi رحمح الله تعلى mentions in his explanation of the Qur’aan ‘Taysir al Kareem ar Rahman’ explaining this verse, he said, (Arabic) “Allaah the Most High informs us that He would definitely test His servants. (Arabic) So, the one who is truthful can be distinguished from the one who is faking and is a liar.” So, the one who is annoyed and irrational can be recognized from the one who is patient. And this is the Sunnah of Allaah عزّ وجل. So from this verse we benefit that each and every one of us will meet a test. Depending upon our reaction, then this will show whether we are from those people who are patient or from those people who are irrational and impatient.

With regards to this hadith then I will use some of the words of the people of knowledge to explain it. Ibnul Qayyim رحمح الله تعلى firstly and foremostly, and some of the other scholars from amongst the people of knowledge. In this life as Shaykh Abdur Razak he mentions the slave is tried with a variety of painful experiences. These painful experiences they affect the heart, causing it to become restless and they cause pain to the soul. Also it may be disturbing and stressful, what you have suffered and experienced.

Now brothers and sisters there is something that you have to understand and this is an important point mentioned by Ibnul Qayyim and others,

if the pain that you have experienced (Arabic) if it is related to things that have happened in the past, then this is sadness. Understand this. If the pain that has afflicted the heart is connected to something that has happened in the past, then this is sadness. Huzn.
And if it is connected to something that you expect and fear will happen in the future then this is worry, Hamm, and
if it is related to something that is going on in your life right now then this is anxiety or stress.
And there is no way to remove these three things from the heart unless we truly return back to Allaah عزّ وجل and humble ourselves before Allaah. Surrendering to Allaah عزّ وجل and accepting His command and believing in His pre-decree. And knowing His Names and Attributes and believing in His Book. And reading the Qur’aan and contemplating upon it and acting upon it. This is the only way that you can remove sadness, worry and anxiety from the qalb (heart).

And I say to you that this supplication, dua is not something only meant to be said upon the tongue.

Many people they make dua or they mention various adkhar and it is just a movement of the tongue. There is no feeling in the heart. And that is why Ibnul Qayyim رحمح الله تعلى mentioned in his book ‘al Fawaid’ (Arabic) the most superior remembrance and the most beneficial form of remembrance is that which is found in the heart and it is spoken upon the tongue. (Arabic) And the one who is mentioning Allaah the one who is supplicating to Allaah, invoking Allaah he should understand the meaning of what they are saying and the intent behind it. And this is why we are explaining this hadith brothers and sisters today.

Many people make dua, many people make dhikr but they don’t understand what they are saying and they don’t understand the intent behind it. So therefore they may not achieve what they expected to achieve due to the deficiency in themselves.

Another thing before I continue to explain this hadith using the words of the people of knowledge ahlul ilmi wal fadl is that when we make dua to Allaah عزّ وجل, and this is important, we have to supplicate to Allaah سبحان وتعلى with love, fear and hope

What is the proof? Allaah عزّ وجل, He said in the Qur’aan,

Those whom they call upon like Jesus, the angels those whom they call upon themselves desire for themselves a means of access to their Lord. They themselves want to become closer to Allaah azza wa jal. Which of them should be the nearest? And they, referring to Jesus, Uzair, the angels and their likes, they hope for His Mercy and fear His torment. Surah al Isra v. 57

So ad-dua when we supplicate to Allaah عزّ وجل we have to supplicate to Allaah عزّ وجل with love, with fear and with hope. That is the dua, the supplication that is beneficial, that is the dua insha Allahu ta’ala that will be like a sword for the believer.

And Shaykh Abdur Razak he mentions, “(Arabic) speaking about the words mentioned by the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم in this hadith, in this dua, he said these are some amazing words that every Muslim should learn. It is not difficult a few lines. Every Muslim should learn so that they can utter them when they are faced with a trial or a test where they experience sorrow, anxiety or worry.

Look what the Shaykh he says, “(Arabic) however it should be understood that these words they are only beneficial if they are correctly understood and the intent behind them is actualized and realized and a person behaves appropriately.

If you make the supplication and your mind is elsewhere or you make the dua and you are thinking about something else, or you make the dua and in reality you don’t understand what you are saying, how will this really be beneficial to you? I have seen many times when you say to somebody, “Akhi ittakillah and seek refuge from the Shaytaan what your doing, what you are saying is not something that is good.” They say “authubillahi minashaytaani rajeem” without any type of contemplation about what they say and that is why the evil that comes from their mouth or their behaviour might be worse than that which was before. Why? Is it because the statement authubillahi minashaytaani rajeem is not beneficial? No! that is not the case. Because if somebody said authubillahi minashaytaani rajeem, contemplating upon the meaning thinking about that which it means and the intent behind it, then when they said those words when they uttered those words with their tongue Allaah سبحان وتعلى will protect them from the accursed Shaytaan. That is why Shaykh Abdur Razak he said, these words are only beneficial (Arabic) these supplications they are only beneficial if a person correctly understands what they are saying and the intent behind the dua is realized and actualized and a person acts appropriately. As for just mimicking the supplications and the ad’iyah, as for just mimicking the various prophetic supplications and remembrance without understanding the meanings then he said, (Arabic) then this will have little effect and no benefits.

So we are not only advising ourselves firstly and foremostly we are not only advising our brothers and sisters to learn it we are advising them to learn it and understand it because as Allaah عزّ وجل informs us in the Qur’aan, there will be a time where a person experiences these things, experiences sadness, experiences anxiety, experiences worry, but here is a prophetic cure a supplication that will remove all of that. And all of us are in need of this. No matter how strong you think you are, no matter how perfect you may believe you are, no matter how important you may believe you are, we are all in need of this as will become apparent when we explain this supplication Insha Allahu ta’ala.

Shaykh Abdur Razak he mentions (Arabic) if we were to study this dua this supplication, the supplication which I mentioned to you at the beginning of the dars, when the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم said, no slave is afflicted with anxiety and grief and then says “O Allaah I am your slave son of your male slave, the son of your female slave, my forehead is in your Hand, and Your judgment upon me is assured, and whatever You have decreed for me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You, which You have named Yourself, or You have revealed in Your Book, or You taught one of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of that Name with You in the Unseen, I ask You that You make the Qur’aan the spring of my heart, and the light of my chest, a banisher for my grief and a reliever for my anxiety” except that Allaah will replace his distress and replace it with joy.

So Shaykh Abdur Razak he said if we study this dua this supplication we find that it comprises four important fundamentals. And there is no way to achieve happiness and banish the anxiety, worry and sadness unless these four fundamentals are understood and implemented.

What are these four fundamentals?

The first fundamental : worshipping Allaah سبحان وتعلى alone and totally humbling oneself before Him and surrendering to Him

Brothers and sisters (Arabic) The first fundamental that is found in this dua, (Arabic) the first fundamental that is found in this hadith in this dua is worshipping Allaah سبحان وتعلى alone and totally humbling oneself before Him and surrendering to Him, because look, the slave he acknowledges he is part of the creation of Allaah and he recognizes that similarly his fathers and his mothers starting from his biological father and mother all the way to Adam and Hawwa all of his fathers and mothers all of them are part of the creation of Allaah سبحان وتعلى and they belong to Allaah سبحان وتعلى. Look, when the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم said in the supplication, “اللَّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي عَبْـدُكَ، إبْـنُ أَمَتِـكَ، O Allaah! I am your slave the son of your male slave, the son of your female slave”, (Arabic) all of them belong to Allaah عزّ وجل, Allaah is their Creator, their Lord, their Master, the one Who controls their affairs and there is not a moment where they are not in need of Allaah عزّ وجل. And they do not have anyone to protect them, they do not have anyone to shelter them except Allaah سبحان وتعلى.

“O Allaah! I am your slave the son of your male slave, the son of your female slave”, when a person says that he comes down from that pedestal that he has placed himself upon, he humbles himself before Allaah. No matter how great you may seem in this dunya, no matter how much people praise you, no matter how much people try to be like you, no matter what you try and present about yourself you are a slave of Allaah. Remember that ya Abdullah. We are all slaves of Allaah سبحان وتعلى and we are nothing. We belong to Allaah and Allaah is in control of us. Allaah سبحان وتعلى is the one who can benefit us. Allaah سبحان وتعلى is the one who can harm us. If you supplicate to Allaah humbling yourself before Allaah عزّ وجل that is the start, that is the beginning.

And look there is no difference between a rich man and a poor man. There is no difference between a black man and a white man. There is no difference between an African and an Asian or an Arab. There is no difference between the one who is poor and the one who is rich. The one who has a nice thobe and the one who has a dirty thobe or a thobe with holes, no difference between somebody who lives in the west and somebody who lives in the east, when they supplicate to Allaah عزّ وجل they say, “ اللَّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي عَبْـدُكَ، إبْـنُ أَمَتِـكَ،, O Allaah! I am your slave, the son of your male slave, the son of your female slave”, again when a person says this he causes them to humble themselves and it removes kibr, haughtiness and arrogance from the heart. Because haughtiness and arrogance is what, rejecting the truth and looking down upon people. So when you say this, “O Allaah! I am your slave, the son of your male slave, the son of your female slave”, lineage does not matter. It does not matter if you come from this tribe or that tribe because your father is a slave of Allaah, like your mother is a slave of Allaah, it doesn’t matter we all belong to Allaah عزّ وجل.

However as Ibn Qayyim رحمح الله تعلى mentions, when we say “O Allaah! I am your slave, the son of your male slave, the son of your female slave,” this slave is a slave who is obedient to Allaah عزّ وجل, because the servants of Allaah سبحان وتعلى are divided into two categories. Those slaves of Allaah who are obedient, those slaves of Allaah who are righteous, those slaves of Allaah who are upon the correct path. Allaah عزّ وجل refers to them in the Qur’aan

وَعِبَادُ الرَّحْمَنِ الَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ هَوْنً

The slaves of Ar Rahman of Allah the Most Merciful, they are those who walk upon the earth with humility Surah al Furqan v. 63

Not with arrogance and pride.

Then you have the second category and this is the whole of the creation the whole of the creation are the slaves of Allaah, they are servants of Allaah in the sense that they are all subservient to the command of Allaah they are all under the control of Allaah عزّ وجل. However this hadith is referring to what? O Allaah! I am your slave an obedient slave not a rebellious slave I am a slave with obedience and I try to be righteous. So that is the first important fundamental found in that supplication.

Second fundamental : Believe in the pre-decree of Allaah

(Arabic) The Shaykh he mentioned the second fundamental to be found in that hadith that we have to understand in order for that supplication to benefit us, in order for that supplication to remove that sorrow, in order for that supplication to remove that grief or that worry or that anxiety or that sadness he said (Arabic) that the slave should believe in the pre-decree of Allaah عزّ وجل and the predetermination that Allaah سبحان وتعلى He decrees for the creation and the slave should believe that which Allaah سبحان وتعلى wills to happen will happen and that which Allaah does not will to happen will not happen. And they should believe that no one can overturn the judgment of Allaah سبحان وتعلى like, nobody can object to the decree of Allaah سبحان وتعلى.

And that is why the Prophet Muhammad صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم said in this dua, “نَاصِـيَتي بِيـدِكَ my forelock, my forehead is in Your Hand, Your judgment upon me is assured and what You have decreed for me is just.” Fannasia thul abd, and we all know that annasia thul abd is the front of your head is in the Hand of Allaah سبحان وتعلى. (Arabic) Allaah سبحان وتعلى does with the slave with that which He chooses. And (Arabic) Allaah سبحان وتعلى pronounces judgment upon the slave as Allaah سبحان وتعلى chooses and no one can turn the judgment of Allaah عزّ وجل. So if you understand this ikhwaan if we understand this brothers and sisters then we will know as the Shaykh he mentioned (Arabic) the life of the servant and his death, his happiness and his misery, his well being and his trial, his test, all of that is under the control of Allaah سبحان وتعلى and he has no power whatsoever to change any of it.

And if the servant believes that his forelock and the forehead of the rest of the creation all of them are in the Hand of Allaah سبحان وتعلى alone and Allaah سبحان وتعلى does with them that which He chooses (Arabic) then what would be the result? If you believe that Allaah عزّ وجل is truly in control of your affair then you will not place your hope in the creation. Because I am telling you one thing brothers and sisters and you most probably have experienced it more than me because many of you are most probably senior to me in age, that when you place your hope in people, they let you down. When you place your hope in people, they let you down. When you expect them to be there they are absent. Why? because, they have no control over your affairs. Similarly as the Shaykh he mentioned in this explanation (Arabic) before that you will not fear any of them you will not fear them you fear Allaah سبحان وتعلى because only Allaah can benefit you. only Allaah سبحان وتعلى can alleviate and remove you from that situation that you are in. And you will not treat the creation like if they are kings that possess and have any control over anything.

And if you behave in that fashion, if you have that belief you don’t place your hope in the creation, you do not fear them in that fashion, that they don’t deserve to be feared, you will not treat them as if they are kings. If you are a person that understands this fundamental and abides by that which it necessitates (Arabic) your Tawheed will be firm and your tawaqqul reliance on Allaah will be firm and your servitude of Allaah will be firm and that is why Hud as the Shaykh mentioned عليهِ صلات وسّلام he said to his people

“إِنِّي تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللّهِ رَبِّي وَرَبِّكُم
I place my reliance in Allaah عزّ وجل my Lord and your Lord,” Surah Hud v. 56

Why? because Hud عليهِ صلات وسّلام he understood, he understood that Allaah سبحان وتعلى is in control of everything.

مَّا مِن دَابَّةٍ إِلاَّ هُوَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا
There is not a beast or an animal or anything that walks the earth except Allaah سبحان وتعلى is in control of their affair. Except Allaah سبحان وتعلى takes hold of their forelock.” Surah Hud v. 56

When the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم looking at this dua, when the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم said, “مَاضٍ فِيَّ حُكْمُـكَ ، your judgment upon me is assured,” then as Ibnul Qayyim رحمح الله تعلى he mentions in his book Fawaaid ul Fawaaid (unsure) he said, (Arabic) this sentence here it contains two things. (Arabic) That Allaah’s judgment upon his servant has already been decided. Allaah’s judgment upon his servant has already been decided.

At-thani (second) When the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم in the dua, “عَـدْلٌ فِـيَّ قَضَـاءُكَ، that your decree for me is just.” then this shows that Allaah سبحان وتعلى, His decision is just. For Allaah سبحان وتعلى Maaliki yawmideen the Possessor of the heavens and the earth and everything that is in them and between them, the Creator of mankind, the Lord of the whole of the creation. With all of that He is just. As Allaah سبحان وتعلى said in the Qur’aan,

“وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلْعَبِيد and your Lord is never oppressive to His servants”. Surah Fussilat v. 46

So we should believe firmly in our hearts as the Shaykh mentions in his explanation that every decision of Allaah and everything that Allaah has decreed about His servants whether it is his health or whether it is sickness, wealth or poverty, a sensation or a pain, life or death, punishment or forgiveness and everything else all of this is Just سبحان وتعلى.

The third fundamental : Belief in the names and perfect attributes of Allaah

The third fundamental that is found in this hadith, (Arabic) “that the slave should believe in the names of Allaah, the beautiful names of Allaah and the perfect attributes of Allaah that have been found in the Qur’aan and the Sunnah and he should use them to supplicate to Allaah سبحان وتعلى. As Allaah, He said in the Qur’aan,

“وَلِلّهِ الأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَى فَادْعُوهُ بِهَا
And Allaah سبحان وتعلى has the most beautiful Names. So call upon Him by them”. Surah al A’raf v. 180

And Allaah said in the Qur’aan, “Invoke Allaah or invoke the Most Merciful, by whatever Name of His you call upon Him or you invoke Him by, it is the same as to Him belong the most beautiful Names.”

Because the Shaykh he mentions that the servant (Arabic) the greater amount of knowledge that the servant has about Allaah and His Names and His Attributes then the greater khashiyah the greater his fear will be of Allaah سبحان وتعلى and the more mindful he will be of Allaah سبحان وتعلى and this will cause him to distance himself from disobeying Allaah سبحان وتعلى and falling into that which Allaah dislikes. (Arabic) As some of the salaf they used to say, (Arabic) “Whoever knows Allaah سبحان وتعلى the best then he will be the one who fears Allaah سبحان وتعلى the most.” (Arabic) And the Shaykh he said, “that is why one of the greatest things that will banish this anxiety and worry and sadness that the slave, he knows his Lord. That the slave he knows his Lord سبحان وتعلى.”

And as I say to you brothers and sisters just pausing here with regards to some of the benefits of knowing Allaah سبحان وتعلى and knowing his Names and His Attributes. So we can understand the statement of some of the salaf when they used to say, “(Arabic) the more the person knows Allaah the more he will fear Allaah سبحان وتعلى.”

If we believe brothers and sisters that Allaah سبحان وتعلى is Samiun, Basheerun, Aleemun, the All-Seeing, the All-Hearing, All-Knowing, and that nothing in the heavens and the earth is hidden from Him and that Allaah سبحان وتعلى knows that which is done in private and that which is hidden and He knows even when a person blinks their eye and that which a person hides in their chest, if we believe that Allaah سبحان وتعلى is like this, then how will He cause us to believe. He will cause us to constantly be mindful of Allaah, that Allaah sees us, He will cause us to control our tongue, it will cause us to safeguard our body parts and prevent them from disobeying Allaah. It will cause us to monitor our hearts, and try and protect our hearts from everything that is not pleasing to Allaah.

Ibn Rajab رحمح الله تعلىhe mentioned in his book Sharh Kalimatul Ikhlas. And look brothers and sisters this is the effect of knowing the Names and Attributes of Allaah عزّ وجل, he said, (Arabic) a man on one occasion he tried to seduce a woman (Arabic) and they were in an open barren space meaning it was just them, a dark night, a dark place in a barren land, desert land, nothing was there, just them but then, the woman refused, why did she refuse? And how did the man respond? (Arabic) The man said, “(Arabic) Nothing can see us except for the stars.” She said, “Where is the one Who created the stars?” So look at the effect of knowing the Names of Allaah سبحان وتعلى meaning Allaah سبحان وتعلى, He sees us. As Allaah سبحان وتعلى says in the Qur’aan,

أَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَرَى
Does he not know that Allaah sees. Surah al Alaq v. 14

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِ
Verily, your Lord is Ever Watchful (over them). Surah al Fajr v. 14

وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
Fear Allaah! Verily Allaah is the All-Hearing the All-Knowing. Surah al Hujurat v. 1

And Allaah سبحان وتعلى says in the Qur’aan,

اعْمَلُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ إِنَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
“Do that which you desire, Allaah sees everything that you do.” Surah Fussilat v. 40

So if a person has this belief in the Names and Attributes of Allaah they will be mindful of Allaah عزّ وجل. If the slave knows that Allaah سبحان وتعلى is the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficent, ar Rahman, ar Raheem, al Kareem the Most Generous, then whenever they sin, whenever they fall short, then they know they can always return back to Allaah عزّ وجل and repent. Again, not like the creation, because the creation we love to be pardoned but we do not pardon, how many times do you find in life we may make a mistake and a person will never let you forget that mistake. Twenty years will pass and they will remind you of it. Thirty years will pass and they will remind you of it, even if you changed your life, Alhamdulillah Allaah is ar Raheem, al Ghafoor the All-Forgiving, not like the creation (Arabic) because the creation they are weak, and they are oppressive. We love to be pardoned but we don’t pardon, we love for our faults to be hidden, we but we don’t hide peoples faults. We love to be shown mercy but we don’t show mercy. Alhamdulillah if we know Allaah عزّ وجل we won’t pay any attention to the creation. We won’t turn and try and please the creation, because we will turn to Allaah because Allaah is al Ghafoor, He is the All-Forgiving.

Allaah سبحان وتعلى is the one who accepts repentance (Arabic) that is why, the one who repents from a sin is like the one who has no sin. Your slate is washed clean. Not like that person behind you who tries to constantly put you down, and remind you of that time when you slipped. People slip in life, people err in life, people fall short in life, when a person sins and makes a mistake. There is either one of two ways you can go. For the slave that knows that Allaah عزّ وجل is the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficent. The one that knows that Allaah عزّ وجل loves the people who make taubah,

إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ
Allaah loves those who purify themselves. Surah al Baqarah v. 222

The one who knows this Alhamdulillah, he will take the path of Aadam عليهِ صلات وسّلام and repent to Allaah عزّ وجل taubatan nasoohah with the sincere correct repentance, and Insha Allahu ta’ala he will walk upon that same path that that was trodden by Adam عليهِ صلات وسّلام and Insha Allaah that path will lead to al Jannah.

However, another person who maybe ignorant or he maybe arrogant he may follow the path of Iblis and may Allaah سبحان وتعلى protect all of us from that path. Because Iblis he was haughty and arrogant and he didn’t want to admit his mistake and that path it leads to the Hellfire. Wal iyaadu billah

So brothers and sisters from this knowing the names and attributes of Allaah we will never despair of the mercy of Allaah عزّ وجل. Never! If we do something that we feel bad about and we regret don’t look to the creation to please them, turn to your Lord who forgives all sin. Turn to Him sincerely and beg His forgiveness and don’t worry about that person who tries to put you down and censor you and blame you even though you may have repented even though you may have changed.

Also brothers and sisters from knowing the Names and Attributes of Allaah سبحان وتعلى because in the dua that Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم he said, “I ask You by every name belonging to You, which You have named Yourself, or You have revealed in Your Book, or You taught one of Your creation, or You have preserved in knowledge of that Name with You in the Unseen another benefit of knowing the Names of Allaah and this has a benefit on you and an effect upon the servant and the servitude of a servant if the slave he knows that Allaah عزّ وجل is Just and if the slave he knows that Allaah سبحان وتعلى becomes angry at those people who are disobedient and Allaah سبحان وتعلى punishes those people who are disobedient then this should cause the slave to be fearful of Allaah سبحان وتعلى as Allaah عزّ وجل He said in the Qur’aan,

وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
Fear Allaah and know that Allaah is severe in His punishment.” Surah al Baqarah v. 196

And Allaah سبحان وتعلى He tells in the Qur’aan

وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
Fear Allaah and know that you will be resurrected and you will be gathered before Him عزّ وجل.

Surah al Baqarah v. 203

If this servant knows Allaah and the Perfection of Allaah سبحان وتعلى and the Beauty of Allaah سبحان وتعلى then this will cause them to love Allaah عزّ وجل in a special way and this will cause them to have a great yearning to meet Allaah سبحان وتعلى and we know brothers and sisters “(Arabic) Whoever loves to meet Allaah, Allaah loves to meet him”. So these are some of the effects mentioned by some of the people of knowledge in their books that knowing the names and attributes of Allaah عزّ وجل has an effect upon the servant’s life.

And again this hadith is a proof brothers and sisters that Allaah عزّ وجل has more than 99 names as the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم said, “I ask You by every name belonging to You, and a few lines later, those names which You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You.” So Allaah عزّ وجل has more than 99 names, names that He has kept hidden with Him in the unseen.

The fourth fundamental :

The fourth fundamental brothers and sisters to be found in this wonderful dua, this wonderful supplication which I said at the beginning of the lesson each and every one of us is in need of and when we are faced with something the first thing we say is, “make dua for me akhi”, “make dua for me ukhthi”. However look at Abdullah ibn Abi Salih, he was sick and Tawoos he visited him, one of the scholars of the past. Abdullah ibn Abi Salih, he was sick and one of the scholars of the past visited him. So Abdullah ibn Abi Salih he said, (Arabic) “O Abu Abdur Rahman make dua for me.” This famous scholar of the past he said, “(Arabic) Make dua for yourself, because Allaah سبحان وتعلى responds and answers the supplication of the one who is in a difficult situation”. So make dua for yourself, supplicate to Allaah yourself,

وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ
Your Lord said, supplicate to Me and I will answer you”. Surah al Ghafir v. 60

So another benefit and the fourth fundamental to be found in this wonderful dua and these things have to be understood that the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم instructed us and taught us we say that “You make the Qur’aan the spring of my heart”.

Ibn Qayyim رحمح الله تعلىhe said, “(Arabic) this is the rain that gives life to the earth, (Arabic) so the Qur’aan it was compared to the rainwater that gives life to the earth because the Qur’aan it gives life to the heart.” And there are many verses that inform us that the Qur’aan is a cure for the quloob as the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم he mentioned similarly in this hadith.

Allaah سبحان وتعلى He said in the Qur’aan

O mankind there has come to you a good advice from your Lord a healing for the heart and a Mercy and guidance for the believers.” Surah Yunus v.57

Al Imaam as Sa’adi explained this verse “(Arabic) Allaah سبحان وتعلى said, it carried (unsure of the word) in the creation to turn towards this Book, this Noble Book and Allaah mentions some of the characteristics of this Book. From the characteristics of this Book is what? It is a maw’ila a piece of good advice or admonition, (Arabic) it admonishes you and it warns you about those actions which earn the anger of Allaah which result in the punishment of Allaah. Also, it informs us that the Qur’aan is a cure for that which is in the chests. As Sa’adi mentions he said, that it is a cure for that which is in the chests, it cures the sicknesses of the desires and lusts and also the sicknesses of doubts.

And another attribute or characteristic of the Qur’aan it is a guidance and a mercy for the believers.

Brothers and sisters there is something important. In order for somebody to benefit from the Qur’aan they have to submit to the Qur’aan. They have to submit to the religion of Allaah عزّ وجل. (Arabic) They have to submit in totality

ادْخُلُواْ فِي السِّلْمِ كَآفَّةً

Enter perfectly in Islam. Surah al Baqarah v. 208

accept everything that is found in the Qur’aan to be the truth.

(Arabic) When they find no displeasure in their nafs, because if you don’t submit from day one, few years down the line that is going to crop up. That displeasure, that rebellious nature is going to crop up. And you are not really going to benefit how you should benefit when you recite the Qur’aan or when you read it. Allaah سبحان وتعلى He said in another verse about the Qur’aan,

لَوْ أَنزَلْنَا هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى جَبَلٍ لَّرَأَيْتَهُ خَاشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّه
“Had we sent down the Qur’aan on a mountain you would have seen the mountain humbling itself and rent asunder by the fear of Allaah.” Surah al Hashr v. 21

Maalik ibn Dinaar used to read this verse and used to say, “I swear by Allah no one truly believes in this Qur’aan unless their heart humbles itself when they hear the Qur’aan.”

So Ibnul Qayyim رحمح الله تعلى he said, about the saying of the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم in this duaأَنْ تَجْعَـلَ القُـرْآنَ رَبِيَـعَ قَلْبِي ، وَنُورَ صَدْرِي ، when we ask Allaah سبحان وتعلى ‘to make the Qur’aan the spring of my heart and the light of my chest’ he said it is the rain that gives life to the earth he said and also he said رحمح الله تعلى (Arabic) the life of the body and the life of the limbs, all stem from the life of the heart. So the life it emanates and it flows from the heart to the limbs, it flows from the heart to the chest and to the body, to the various limbs so that is why we ask Allaah سبحان وتعلى to give us life in our heart and we ask Allaah عزّ وجل to make the Qur’aan رَبِيَـعَ قَلْبِي the spring of our hearts. Ibnul Qayyim he said, “Sadness and anxiety and worry opposes and it contradicts the likeness of the heart.” So therefore we ask Allaah عزّ وجل and the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم asked Allaah سبحان وتعلى in this dua that Allaah سبحان وتعلى make the Qur’aan a banisher of the grief and a reliever for anxiety.

And Ibnul Qayyim he mentioned an important point brothers and sisters I want to you to pay attention to this he said, (Arabic) “Some people they suffer from anxiety or stress and they think the answer is to do something haraam or something that they used to do in the past, because Shaytaan is whispering and now they are weak and they are susceptible to the whisperings of Shaytaan. Ibnul Qayyim said, “If the anxiety and worry and the stress if it is removed by using other than the Qur’aan for example if you are sick and you regain health or some affair of the dunya, opposition or a wife or a child (Arabic) then the anxiety, the stress and worry as soon as those things are done is going to come back.” However if the Qur’aan is the spring of your heart then it will banish those things forever as long as that belief is in your heart as explained earlier in the dars.

And that is why Ibnul Qayyim رحمح الله تعلى he says, “Whoever is not cured by the Qur’aan then Allaah سبحان وتعلى will not cure that individual, who ever is not happy with the Qur’aan in terms that they believe it to be sufficient Allaah سبحان وتعلى will make nothing sufficient for them.” So if a person faces anxiety, if a person faces stress, if a person is suffering from depression then the answer is clear. Alhamdulillah the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم he explained to us the cure and the correct cure. And I said at the beginning the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم was asked “O Messenger of Allaah should we not learn it?” He said, “Of course, whoever hears it should learn it.” We should all learn it.

“Parents are like God because you wanna know they're out there, and you want them to think well of you, but you really only call when you need something.”

THE BOY AND THE APPLE TREE.

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow…he loved the tree and the tree loved t

o play with him. Time went by…the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad. “Come and play with me” the tree asked the boy.“ I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more” the boy replied. “I want toys. I need money to buy them.”

“Sorry, but I do not have money… but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.” The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.

One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited “Come and play with me” the tree said. “I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?” “ Sorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house.” So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted. “Come and play with me!” the tree said. “I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” said the man. “Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.” So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the man returned after many years. “Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you …” the tree said. “No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite” the man replied. “No more trunk for you to climb on” “I am too old for that now” the man said. “I really cannot give you anything… the only thing left is my dying roots” the tree said with tears. “I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years” the man replied. “Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, Come, come sit down with me and rest.” The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears…

This is a story for everyone. The tree is like our PARENTS. When we were young, we loved to play with our Mum and Dad…

When we grow up, we leave them…only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble.

No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could just to make you happy.

You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but that is how all of us treat our parents. We take them for granted we don’t appreciate all they do for us, UNTIL it’s too late. May Allah Ta'ala forgive us of our shortcomings and may He Guide us inshaallah.

“And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour. And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: ‘My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small.’ ” [Al-Qur’an 17:23-24]

Practice Sunnah with patience

"Practice Sunnah with patience,
Stop where the companions had stopped,
Say as they had said and
Abstain from what they had abstained from.
What was sufficient for them, can be sufficient for you." (♥)

What are we doing???

::>:: What are we doing??? ::<::

● When we feel angry; we scream instead of doing Wudhu.
● When we feel sad; we cry to our friends instead of crying to Allah.
● When we feel stressed; we listen to music instead of listening to Quran.
● Whe

● When we feel empty; we go watch a movie instead of doing Zikr of Allah.

Is it permissible for the one who wants to offer a sacrifice to cut his hair or nails?.

Is it permissible for the one who wants to offer a sacrifice to cut his hair or nails?.

Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

If anyone wants to offer a sacrifice, and the month of Dhu’l-Hijjah has begun, ei
ther because the new moon has been sighted or because thirty days of Dhu’l-Qa’dah have passed, then it is haraam for him to remove anything of his hair or nails or skin until he has slaughtered the sacrifice, because of the hadeeth of Umm Salamah (may Allaah be pleased with her), according to which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“When you see the new moon of Dhu’l-Hijjah – according to another version, When the ten days (of Dhu’l-Hijjah) begin – and any one of you wants to offer a sacrifice, let him refrain (from cutting) his hair and nails.” Narrated by Ahmad and Muslim. According to another version, “Let him not remove anything from his hair and nails until he has offered the sacrifice.” And according to yet another version, “ He should not touch his hair or skin.”

If he forms the intention to offer the sacrifice during the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, then he should refrain from that from the moment he forms that intention, and there is no sin on him for anything he may have done before forming the intention.

The reason for this prohibition is that when the person who wants to offer the sacrifice joins the pilgrims in some of the rituals of Hajj – namely drawing closer to Allaah by slaughtering the sacrifice – he also joins him in some of the features of ihraam, namely refraining from cutting his hair etc.

••►This ruling applies ONLY to the one who is going to slaughter the sacrifice. It does not apply to the one on whose behalf a sacrifice is offered, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said,

“If any one of you wants to offer a sacrifice.” He did not say, “… is going to have a sacrifice offered on his behalf.”

And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to offer the sacrifice on behalf of the members of his household, and it is not narrated that he told them to refrain from that (cutting their hair and nails etc).
Based on this, it is permissible for the family of the person who is going to offer the sacrifice to remove things from their hair, nails and skin during the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah.

If the person who wants to offer the sacrifice does remove anything from his hair, nails or skin then he has to repent to Allaah and not do it again, but he does not have to offer any expiation, and that does not prevent him from offering the sacrifice as some of the common people think. If he does any of those things out of forgetfulness or ignorance, or some hair falls unintentionally, then there is no sin on him. If he needs to remove it then he may do so, and there is no blame on him, such as if a nail breaks and it annoys him, so he cuts it, or if a hair gets in his eye and he removes it, or he needs to cut his hair in order to treat a wound and the like.”

be gentle with yourself

Money isn't everything

“While money can't buy happiness, it certainly lets you choose your own form of misery.”

“Patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet”

“Patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet”
-Aristotle-
Great thinkers and scholars have defined Patience in a numerous ways. Why is it so great to have patience or perseverance? Islam portrays Patience as the most valuable virtues of life. We all grew up listening to moral stories at school and from our parents. How far we have been successful in carrying those ethics in every walk of our lives? Patience is important because it makes us pay attention says the famous writer and philosopher Paulo Coelho.
Most of us misunderstand patience to be innate for some people but it can be acquired too.
Patience is the control one gains over his body to stay calm under provocative circumstances ,were one may gets loose of his anger or hope, without complaining about his condition. Life can be challenging in different forms and different ways. Sometimes life asks you to wait, sometimes it brings malicious disease, sometimes it brings poverty, hardships ,sometimes it pulls you down to loneliness and so on. May Allah (SWT) protect us from all the hardships and give us forbearance. Upon all those hurdles in life one should remember his Lord, the Almighty Allah because he is the one who knows best what is good for us and face the reality with a strong faith in our lord and deen.

“O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient. And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient” [Al Baqarah: 153 &155]

One of the great attributes of The Prophets of Islam was perseverance. In fact all the Prophets of Allah went through trials. Allah put the one he loves to trials. As Muslims we are bound to take lessons from the Prophet’s Life.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) advised us not to speak when we are angry. He said: “If one of you gets angry, he should be quiet.” [ Musnad Ahmad ]

The Prophet (peace be upon him) gave us other practical advice. He said: “If one of you gets angry and he is standing, then he should sit down until his anger subsides. If it does not, then he should lie down.” [ Sunan Abî Dâwûd ]

He also said: “Anger is from Satan, and Satan was created from fire. Fire is but extinguished by water, so if one of you gets angry, he should perform wudû'.” [ Sûnan Abî Dâwûd and Musnad Ahmad ]
The above teachings of The Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) is so powerful in meaning. When we get angry the words we speak may be spiteful and dangerous, And words once uttered cannot be taken back. By controlling your anger you are controlling yourself from producing something negative out of you.

“O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful.” (Al Imran:300)
Islam does not approve of the lazy man’s route. In order to benefit the sweetness of life sometimes we have to be patient, traverse through the toughest path or struggle to calm ourselves without cursing our fate.
“And you do not will except that Allah wills. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.” (Al-Insan:30)
In the name of Allah let us strive in the path of our deen, reap the rewards of struggle and taste the elixir of life from here and the hereafter. Aameen.

Accepting Disapproval

Salaam(Peace and Tranquility from Allaah),Allaah's Rahmah(Mercy,Grace and Love), and His Barakaat(Blessings) be upon you

Title:What is Ghinaa?

What a beautiful description of Islamic notion of Ghinaa(being free from being emotionally affected by app
roval or disapproval of people for sake of Allaah so that you do everything due to love, fear and awe of Allaah alone, not people)!
May Allaah bless our hearts with the same Ghinaa described above.
The following is the Du'aa(Supplication to Allaah) to pray for Ghinaa in Arabic.
Allaahumma innee as-alukal ghinaa 'aninnaas
O' Allaah! I ask you Ghinaa from people.
