Amazing Story of a Bird and A Scholar

Imām al-Dhahabī mentions the following story in his entry for Sufyān ath-Thawrī: ”ʻAlī b. ʻAbd al-ʻAzīz said, Arim narrated to us saying, I went to Abū Manṣūr to visit him, he said to me,

‘Sufyān resided in this house, and there was here a nightingale belonging to my son. He (Sufyān) said, ‘Why is this locked up (in a cage)? It should be freed.’ I said, ‘It belongs to my son, and he gives it to you as a gift.’ Sufyān said, ‘No, I will give him a dinar for it.’ He said, ‘He then took it and freed it, and it would go out and return in the evening, and would be at the far end of the house. When Sufyān died, it followed his funeral procession and was flying over his grave. After this on some nights it would go to his grave, and sometimes would spend the night there, and sometimes would return back home. They then found it dead by his grave and it was buried alongside Sufyān.”’

Let's get closer to Al Qur'an & let's get the younger ones closer to it too!

The following lovely incident was mentioned by a Shaikh from Toronto, Canada. The incident is about his 18 months old daughter.

The shaikh used to teach his young son Qur'an and ahadith daily. And Masha Allah, the little boy had already memorized Surah Fatiha and various other surahs.

One day, his youngest daughter who was only 18 months old was sitting beside them while they did the lesson. When the young boy recited the 5th verse of Surah Fatiha untill "Ihdina As Sirat...", the tiny girl suddenly said "Al Mustaqeem" and completed the verse.

Subhanallah! How blessed is this child whose first words were among the words of the Glorious Qur'an, which she learned because of her father's Qur'an lessons at home! Masha Allah!

So do let the younger ones at your place be near you when you read, recite or study the Qur'an. May Allah bless us & our families with the knowledge of His Glorious Words! Aameen!

..::..The Nurse and His Gaze..::.. [Lovely True Story]

There was a person in the UK who became ill and was hospitalized. He was admitted for three days and on the fourth day the attendant nurse said, "Marry me".

He [the brother in UK] asked, "Why? I am a Muslim, you and I cannot become companions."

She said, "I will become Muslim".

"What's the reason?" it was asked.

She said, "In all my time that I have served in hospitals, except you, I have never seen a man lower his gaze in front of a woman. In my life you are the first person who lowers his gaze when seeing a woman. I come, and you close your eyes. Such great modesty can be taught by none other than a true religion."

The protection of one's gaze entered Islam in her. She testified to the Oneness of Allah Ta'ala and became a Muslim. They both got married. By now, the same woman was and is the means of bringing so many other girls and women into Islam.

REMEMBER DEAR MUSLIM!

We may never see the impact our actions have on people!!

Sometimes we are the only knowledge of Quran someone will read..,
or the only Islam a non-Muslim will see!

What we need to provide, Insha Allah is an example for others to see!

Let us be careful, be honest and humble everyday, because we never know who is watching our actions and judging us as Muslims!! We might be saying something and doing something contrary to what we say...Are we really showing the world the real characteristics and spectacular qualities of a true believer?

Let us atleast remember at all times •► Allah is watching us! And He is going to ask us if we delivered His message or not!

Oh ALLAH please enable us to be strong Mulims...ones who are true followers of the Qur'an & the sunnah of RasoolAllah (sallAllahu 'alyhi wasallam).

Help us ya Rabb to keep our gaze lowered. Oh ALLAH our eyes are a blessing, please enable us to be thankful of this blessing and using it in the correct manner. Allahumma Aameen!

❝Had Allaah lifted the veil for His slave & shown him how He handles his affairs for him, & how Allaah is more keen for the benefit of the slave than His own self, his heart would have melted out of the lOve for Allaah & would have been torn to pieces out of thankfulness to Allaah. Therefore if the pains of this world tire you do not grieve. For it may be that Allaah wishes to hear your voice by way of du'aa. So pour out your desires in prostration & forget about it & know, that verily Allaah does not forget it.❞ ~ Ibn al-Qayyim (rahimahullaah)

“One of the worst sins is a person taking his sin lightly.” — Abū Bakr aṣ-Ṣiddīq (RadiAllahu Anhu) Al-Ḥasan al-Baṣrī (Rahimahullah) would say, ”From the signs that one has drowned in sins is lack of delight in fasting in the day and praying through the night.” O the Most Forgiving Allah! Forgive us, sinner's! :(

You are a believer..

“The nafs calls one to tyranny and & preferring the life of the dunya, & the Lord calls the servant to fear Him & forbids the nafs from its evil desire. As such, the heart ends up between the two callers; sometimes it inclines to this caller & other times to the other caller, & this is the very object of ordeal & tribulation.” -Ibn al-Qayyim [Ighāthah al-Lahfān 1/126]

The Prophet (salAllahu alaihy wasallam) said “The one who is bankrupt among my ummah is the one who will come on the Day of Resurrection with prayer, fasting and zakaah to his credit, but he will come having slandered one person......” [Muslim] O Allah, protect our tongues from backbiting and slander. Ameen!

Don't let your sins silence your heart, from calling out to your Lord. (♥) No matter how much you've sinned, come back to the Most Merciful.. the Most Forgiving Rabb!

You better be better

Be a better person today than you were yesterday, be a better person tomorrow than you are today. Once you stop trying to be better, you will no longer be good.

Being better does not necessarily mean doing more, try to perfect and improve on what you are doing if you are not doing more.

"He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving"

(Surah al-Mulk, 2)

Best in deeds...not necessarily most in deeds.
